Research on Urban Management Strategy to Improve Air Quality in Beijing

The problem of air pollution in Beijing has been generally focused on by the government and the public in recent years. The effect achieved in controlling the air pollution in Beijing was summarized, and the challenge faced and the key problems and causes existing in the urban management analyzed. The suggestions on controlling the air pollution were put forward, including optimizing the urban function and spatial framework, controlling strictly the total consumption of coal, giving play to the function of the environmental impact assessment system, accelerating the reduction of vehicle emissions, speeding up the construction of ecological environmental system, and improving the construction of regional air pollution control system.
