Abstract
It is of great significance to explore the coordinated evolution relationship between new-type urbanization and green development in the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt to enhance the economic development momentum and build a harmonious and orderly ecological economic belt in the Huaihe River Basin. Based on the coupling and coordination mechanism of new-type urbanization and green development, 25 prefecture-level cities in the Huaihe River Ecological Economic Belt from 2009 to 2022 were taken as samples, and the coupling coordination model, Moran index and Dagum Gini coefficient were used to study the evolution relationship and law of coupling and coordination between new-type urbanization and green development. The results show that: (1) The overall development of coupling and coordination shows a steady upward trend; (2) The spatial distribution of coordination degree shows a spatial pattern of continuous expansion from the central cities in the east and north to the surrounding cities and the central and western regions. (3) During the study period, the two coupling coordination types of "urban moderate coordination-lagging green development level" and "moderate coordination and synchronization" were dominant, and in the past five years, the northern and central and western regions were mainly lagging behind in green development, and the lagging problem of new-type urbanization in the eastern region was more prominent. (4) The differences in the overall coupling coordination degree are narrowing, and the coordination differences within the eastern region are the largest, and the overall differences mainly come from the eastern and central western regions, and the contribution rate of inter-regional differences is the highest.
