中国PET饮料包装产生与回收现状和预测

Generation and recycling of PET beverage packaging in China: current status and projections

  • 摘要: 近年来中国资源回收体系持续建设,其作为全球塑料生产和消费的大国,聚对苯二甲酸乙二醇酯(PET)饮料包装的产生量和回收率也发生相应的变化。基于“饮料总产量-PET包装的饮料产量-PET饮料包装表观消费量(废PET饮料包装产生量)”关系和逆向物质流分析方法,系统评估了中国2014—2023年PET饮料包装产生与回收情况,并通过ARIMA模型和灰色预测模型预测了2024—2029年PET饮料包装产生与回收趋势。结果表明:2014—2023年中国PET饮料包装年产生量持续增长(416万~456万t),回收率维持在97.1%~97.8%的高位区间;2024—2029年PET饮料包装产生量将继续攀升至约463万t,而回收率则呈现下降趋势,约96.6%。产生量与回收率反向变化趋势可能是PET饮料包装消费快速增长与回收体系发展滞后矛盾的体现。中国亟须加强回收体系建设并创新管理模式,以应对PET饮料包装消费快速增长带来的挑战。

     

    Abstract: In recent years, China has continuously developed its resource recycling system. As a major global producer and consumer of plastics, the country has witnessed corresponding changes in the generation and recovery rates of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) beverage packaging. This study systematically assessed the generation and recovery of PET beverage packaging in China from 2014 to 2023 based on the relationship between "total beverage production-PET-packaged beverage production-PET beverage packaging apparent consumption (waste PET beverage packaging generation)" and the reverse material flow analysis method. The study further forecasted the trends of PET beverage packaging generation and recovery for 2024-2029 using the ARIMA and grey prediction models. The results showed that during 2014-2023, China's annual PET beverage packaging generation consistently increased (4.16-4.56 million tons) while maintaining high recovery rates (97.1%-97.8%). Projections indicated that the generation quantity would continue rising to approximately 4.63 million tons by 2029, whereas the recovery rate was predicted to decline to around 96.6%. This inverse trend of generation quantity and recovery rate was postulated to reflect the contradiction between rapid consumption growth of PET packaging and lagging development in recycling infrastructure. The research suggests that it is imperative for China to enhance its recycling infrastructure and innovate management models to address the challenges posed by the rapidly growing consumption of PET beverage packaging.
